Today's Question: 4/17

What are you doing this weekend?

My husband's parents, grandma, and brother are coming to visit.  I don't even have enough beds for everyone!!!  His brother is goign to have to sleep on the sofa, but he knows this already and doesn't seem to mind.

It drives me crazy that they have NO sense of urgency when traveling at all.  They were supposed to leave at noon, now they're not leaving till 5 or so cause the brother has to work later (I found a $200 flight for him so he could fly down after work and meet up with everyone, but NOOOO that would make too much sense!!!

So, I have a whole house-full of people arriving around 1 am this morning.  Delightful.  I have so much laundry to do.  I did 6 loads last night and I have 5 more loads to do today... So in a way I guess it's good they're slow and in no hurry, it'll give me more time to put clothes away after work!

Re: Today's Question: 4/17

  • No big plans.

Scuffletown, USA in Simpsonville finally reopened their Dance Barn, so we're going line dancing tomorrow.  That's about it as far as plans go.  Probably about it as far as plans go.

  • I have clients in town tomorrow, then we're going to meet with a builder in Anderson, then we're having dinner with my parents in Clemson.

Oh, and our fingers and toes are crossed - we have two showings today AND our renter finally said that he wants to buy our rental house (we have to sell one or the other to build).  Woo hoo!!

  • Nothing big for tonight.

Tomorrow we are going to Greenville. We have a cooking class at William Sanoma in the morning then will probably shop a bit and go to the park.

Sunday we will realx, clean some, and maybe have dinner with DH's cousin.

  • We're going on a family retreat weekend at Windy Gap near Asheville with the ILs.  FIL and MIL are on the committee for Young Life, which is a ministry to high school kids.  Several times a year there is a family weekend for people involved with Young Life and their families.  It's always a lot of fun to go, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Very cool I was active in Young Life in high school and was a student leader.

Several times through the years we were on work crew for the family/leader retreats.  Good times waking up at 4:30 to go bake muffins for breakfast!!!

  • Tomorrow I am heading up to Boone for my nephews 2nd birthday. My husband will most likely have to work so I am going to see if I can catch a ride with my inlaws.

Sunday Dh might have to work. I might do some cleaning and finish a book that I got from the library.

  • Heading to NC-Willow Springs actually-to visit with DH's grandparents for the weekend. Coming back Sunday early afternoon to (hopefully) work on the backyard some more.

btw MrsZ-1st week @ new job went great!!! YAY!!!

  • since i didn't reply friday, i'll fill in on my weekend trip to nc

friday we met up with a friend to eat the best burgers in raleigh & then hang out with more good friends

saturday we ate some bojangles at the tailgate & watched the nc state red & white practice football game.  the defense & quarterback make the season look really promising!

saturday night was a going away party for some really good friends.  it was great to see the gang together one last time before their departure.

sunday was a 1 year old's birthday party.  there was every color icing imaginable on this child.  i would hate to see the outcome later that day.

all in all a great weekend!
