The guy who used to be the chef at Ovation now opened his own place that he owns.
There's also AJ's Chicken and Waffles. I've never been there but have heard about it from friends. http://www.ajschickenandwaffles.com
It looks a little shady - but sometimes those are the best restaurants around.
I must say I was not impressed with Buttons. We had horrible service (the waiter question what I ordered and was rude to us) and I thought it was over priced. Maybe it was just a bad, one-time experience but I didn't enjoy it.
Some family members when to Buttons and had the same reaction as Carrie50 (price and service).
Probably I'm the only goober that watches it, but when I think of chicken and waffles all i can think of is the "Little Brother" on Til Death. hahahahha...
V - you and T HAVE to try Victor Tango's in Dallas. It's kind of like American style tapas? one of the many appetizers we got there was these little chicken and waffles, so good! You guys would really like it I think. (And their drinks are some of the best I've had ever)
