~Mrs.DMC~

Hi! I just wanted to say that the beach pics in your siggy are too cute!!

I saw that you delivered early to pre-e. I had severe pre-e also, and it's definitely not a picnic. I hope your health is well now. :)

Re: ~Mrs.DMC~

  • Thank you! We took them ourselves with our new SLR camera.

Yes, I remember you telling me about your pre-e. It does stink. As of now I am doing good. It took me a while to start feeling back to normal. I had no energy for a few months. I guess that is what happens when you lay in bed for a month.

Hopefully we will be able to TTC another in one day. My doc doesn't think it will be a problem. I like to hang out on the preemie board. There are a lot of girls who went through the same thing as me so it is encouraging(including jennigator, one of our local nesties)

What about you, are you going to try for another?

I am doing the March for Babies next week. I am excited about it. I started a team and we have raised quite a bit of money so far.

  • Happy Birthday!Cake

Maddox will be 6 months old tomorrow!

  • I definitely want more children one day! :) My OB said there is a risk of developing pre-e with my next child, but at least I didn't have it so severe that it was HELLP. If I can avoid the magnesium drip, I'll be very happy!

Wow, I can't believe it's been 6 months since you delivered. Enjoy this time - it's such a cute age!! It's so much harder when you enter the world of toddlerhood. lol

  • I know. There is a lot of encouragement on the preemie board, you should check it out.

We are having a blast with him. He has come such a long way since birth. We went from trying to reach the milestone of eating on his own to the bouncing baby he is today. You would never know was a preemie at this point. He even started STTN at 2 months which was 2 weeks adjusted. Now he sleeps from about 9pm til 8 or 9am. It is great. He has become quite the chatterbox these days.

Oh, I just PRAY that when we have kids we get as lucky as you have been! ?He's such a good, happy baby.?

That's awesome!! My little guy is still sleeping 12 hours at night and 3 hours in the afternoon. Everyone is telling me that my nap days are numbered though. It's going to be one sad day when he starts cutting back on nap time. lol

  • Yes Jenn, he is a cutie, I love little blond boys!!! Maddox looks like he is starting to turn blond!

He is not much of a napper. I don't complain though since he sleeps so great at night, and he really is happy. If he was crabby, I would work a little harder with a nap schedule. He does catnap throughout the day when he is tired so I think he has it figured out.

I don't think that babies start developing a specific nap schedule until they are a bit older...but I could be wrong. It seems like forever ago when I had a 6 month old in my house!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all take catnaps throughout the day? Ah, the life of babies!

Yes, Jenn, I would so love to catnap throughout the day. I did curl up on the couch with Maddox in my arms the other day. We had a litle nap together.
