Aveda institute?

Has anyone visited the Aveda Institute in the Pearl Brewery complex? I'm going on the 2nd and just wondering what your experience was like? Thanks!

I haven't been there, but FWIW I think that the Aveda coloring works best for my highlights. When I actually go get them done, anyway.

My mom, MOH and I went the week before my wedding for a spa day and it was fabulous! ?We did the elemental facials and had mani&pedis done. ?Very top notch and you pay a fraction of the cost of going to an Aveda salon like K Charles. ?I would probably go more often if it was closer - the facials are GREAT.

My boss has gotten color done there a couple times and it always looks great!

I went with my cousin a couple years ago - just be prepared to be there a while!  We were there four hours for highlights.

I've gone several times and have only had 1 negative experience with a student that had a bad attitude.  Otherwise it's a great deal!  But yes, be prepared for this to take a long time.  Just to put your mind at ease, the students do get input from their instructors & they walk around periodically to check up on them.  I'm a big fan of Aveda products & color so it's the only way i can afford to get their services.   The products are regular priced though. 
I've never had the facials but have always wanted to.  Sounds like those are pretty great too!

Thanks guys! Ooo...love Farm to table...very good! I don't mind about it taking awhile. My hubby is just coming off a very busy month at work, and it's like my Mothers Day/break day. So, I'll sit there and wait...myabe bring a book with me so I can read while waiting. Ahhh..what a relaxing, well deserved day!?

You have to go Lauren! It's a little sandwich shop right by the entrance to the salon. They do a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches and all their ingredients are fresh and from local providers. http://www.texasfarmtotable.com/
