Hi! You posted awhile ago that you had just started your daughter at Willow Creek in Germantown. Do you like it so far? I was all set to sign our daughter up today at a different place (slightly better location and later pick-up time) but I bailed w/out doing it. Despite great parent feedback about it, I just don't feel comfortable with it. Not a good gut feeling I guess. So....I'm debating using Willow Creek after all. It seems great, but it means I have to get up and get to work MUCH earlier than I'm used to in order to make the 5:45 pick up time.
Re: **Surfer**
Hi!
Yep, Avery's been there for about three weeks or so now and she really likes it. I'm still learning all the teachers, the new policies, etc, but overall I like it. There are a few things I miss from our old daycare (detailed slips saying how long she napped, what she ate, if she pooped, etc.), but the teachers always fill me in when I ask (it's just that sometimes I forget to ask!).
So far so good. Avery's made great friends and already learned quite a bit. And the teacher she'll have when she moves to the three-year old room this summer is AMAZING with her.
Hi! Katie just started today! We went w/ Willow Creek. It seems good so far. My only complaint is that they didn't give the teachers in the older infant room the info on her likes/dislikes etc. when they combined kids at the end of the day. DD only likes to be held facing out, and the caregiver said she kept trying to rock her until eventually she found a position that DD would settle in. This, of course, was facing out. Not a big deal, though. The teachers seem nice and DD (and her parents!!) made it through the first day without any major meltdowns.
I actually DID get a note that shows when she slept, pooped, etc. I wonder why you don't get one?
So glad it's going well! I think we don't get slips because she's in the 3-year-old room. I guess they assume they play, learn, eat, etc. and that's enough? I just like details, I guess.
Well, maybe we'll run into each other there!
