Bad haircut - advice please
Went and got a haircut the other day and before I could stop her she cut in "face framing layers." Too short to tuck behind my ears so they fall in my face all day long. So annoying! And very attractive too, especially at the end of the day b/c they are all greasy from me trying to tuck them behind my ears.
Clearly, I'm in need of a barrette, but I'd rather something that doesn't look like I purchased it at the Disney store. Can anyone recommend something, anything?
Re: Bad haircut - advice please
what about a headband? ?I use these when my bangs are cut too short. Drugstores like CVS carry adult looking ones. ?I've also seen them at stores like Ann Taylor Loft that are dressy for work.
?Did you tell her that you were unhappy??
Bobby pins - why the heck didn't I think of that! I'm such a doofus.
I'll look around for a headband, but I remember back in the day they used to cause headaches...
No, I didn't tell her. I have yet to find a hairdresser that really makes me happy, she was absolutely the closest. Next time, I'd try her again, but bring up this issue before the scissors come out.
I love hair things!

Sometimes j.crew and Banana have cute pins, barettes, clips, headbands, etc., as well.
If you're in the city, Henri Bendel is the best for fun hair stuff. It's the only thing I can afford there...
ditto on the booby pins or headbands.
I have a really cute fabric headband from Ann Talyot Loft that I like because it doesn't give me a headache but keeps my hair out of my face (all those old school plastic headbands always hury my head).
