My girlfriends and I are planning a girls weekend in KC the end of May. Any bars that have karaoke that you rec? Bars with live bands? We do not have accommodations booked yet, as we would like to stay near the night life. Any hotel recs would also be appreciated! TIA!

This is the new hotspot.
Most of the hotels Downtown are nice--I've had family stay at the Crown Plaza and enjoyed themselves (within easy walking distance of Power and Light District.)
And I have personally stayed at the Q hotel in Westport which was lovely.
Each are around $100-$120 a night generally.
