We're considering the Fisher Price Safe voyage as a more affordable option to the Britax and I saw your post below about having one...is there anything you don't like about it? Right now DD has an evenflo infant seat and I really hate how it doesn't recline, because her head bobs everywhere when she falls asleep...does the FP safe voyage recline well? Anything else that you love/hate/wish were different about it? Thanks!

Re: ~*~JanandShawn~*~

  • I don't have any other carseats to compare it to, so I honestly don't know if it reclines more or less than others. It defintely reclines for rear facing and you have to adjust it when you turn it forward.

We bought our first seat last August and tried it out for a few months before buying a second one. It's not as cushy or fancy as an "actual" Britax, but Cassidy has always seemed comfortable in it and never had any head-bobbing issues. It's also very easy to install and the buckles are very easy to use. The buckles work exactly like the Graco Snugride, if you're familiar with that infant seat.

I don't think the seat is quite as deep as some of the other Britax seats. My mom has some kind of a Britax (Advantage?) seat in her car and Cassidy seemed to run out of leg room faster with our seat than with my mom's seat. Aside from that, it's really a great seat.
