I volunteered to host a bachelorette party for one of my good friends, and was looking for some input/ideas.
The group will likely consist of 6-10 people all of whom are over 30, one of whom will be rather pregnant, and several who have young children at home. (just to give you a sense of the demographics)
I'm thinking debauchery rather than something raunchy or something elegant and sophisticated (more feather boas and tiaras than phallic necklaces and life savers)
I did find a place that does pole dancing lessons, so we'll likely start there. The studio is in the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood area. I'm looking for places for dinner and drinks. We'll probably end up at a hotel on the Mag Mile, since I get a discount through work there, so I'm okay with working our way south. Of course, we're always looking for budget options.
Thanks for all your help
Re: Bachelorette Party Help
Kudos for you for trying something more sophisticated rather than sophomoric!
If you'll end up around Michigan Ave, I highly recommend the lounge at the Four Seasons. It's my favorite hotel bar. Excellent service, beautiful decor, etc.
As for budget options, if you'll be in Lincoln Square, check out Brauhaus...very fun German restaurant!
