Sewing?

I'm looking for a place in San Diego to learn how to sew!  I have absolutely no experience but I do have a sewing machine!  I'm particularly interested in smocking and around the house projects like throw pillows, curtains, etc.  Anyone know of a place that's great for beginners?  Thanks!!

I know that Joann's Fabrics and Michaels have classes you can take. Go to your local one and ask them when their classes are! Ive never taken them, but I always see the flyers in the stores. If they arent offering one at the time maybe they could point you in the direction of some classes!

there are also free classes through the san diego continuing ed program. check out the sewing fundamentals classes. I took a knitting class through here and had a great time!! I also took a sewing class at sew hut. It was very fun! Great teacher...

I am waiting for the summer class schedule to come out so that I can take a beg sewing class as well. I really really want to learn how to sew.

bonita knit & sew just opened a 'sewing lounge' and they have classes a couple times a week. i love this place
