IS there a place to find old obituary(sp?
Re: IS there a place to find old obituary(sp?
It depends on how old it is. I think my dad's was available online for a year. Beyond that, you might need to do it the good old fashioned way and hit the library.
Try googling the person's full name and if you have it, the date of their death. If there is anything to be found on there, it should come up in the search results.
Dude. This is majorly OT, but when I googled my dad's full name to make sure I was giving good info, I found his name on a genealogy page, the day he was born, the day he died, and when he married my mom. I know all that stuff, but the cool part is, whoever had created the genealogy page had traced my family's roots back to 1645! Something I didn't realize until yesterday is that since 1645, every generation on my dad's mom's side has had an edward in the family- including my dad (his middle name was edward). For several generations, great grandfather, ggg-father, gggg-father, etc etc were all named Edward.
For reasons other than twilight, I am really fascinated by this!
