Suprise Party Dinner

So now I've convinced my grandparents to do a dinner on a Saturday night for my mom's surprise party. They definitely want a BYOB.  I suggested Mirabella Cafe and Tullia's.  They don't like either of them because it's $10 more to have a 'banquet' there than eat there in their regular dining room.  The dinners include bread, salad, soda/tea/coffee.  I tried to tell them that every place is going to be like that, but I don't think they want to hear that.  They're driving me crazy!

Any suggestions for places to have it anywhere from Mt. Laurel to Glassboro that's BYOB for about 50 people?

Re: Suprise Party Dinner

  • I'm not sure if they can accomodate 50 people, but Barrone's has a separate room.  My friend had her rehearsal dinner there and was very pleased.
  • So, I am not the expert on SJ whatsoever, but my fav. pizza place down here, Sal and Joe's in Maple Shade, has a banquet room and their food is great!

  • What about Blue Grotto in Voorhees.
  • Tarentella's in Medford was wonderful for my RH dinner.  They have two separate rooms that can be used together or separately.  We ordered off the menu.  In addition we bought our own wine/beer the weekend before and it was chilled when we got there.  I think the hubbie also ordered pre-orderdd the apps so we went got there they were almost ready.  They couldn't have been better to us.
  • I love Tarantella's and I completely forgot about them. Thanks, I'll look into that!
