Crockpot Chili
Ingredients
For the chili:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 can of beef broth (low
sodium)
- 1 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (15-ounce) can red kidney
beans, drained
- 1 (15-ounce) can black beans,
drained
- 1 (14-ounce) can
Mexican-style stewed tomatoes with jalapeno peppers and spices, undrained
Sides and Toppings:
- Sour cream
- Diced onion
- Diced tomato
- Diced avocado
- Shredded Cheddar
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and mix well.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours or on LOW for 8 hours.
***The only thing I did different was to brown the meat in some of the beef broth before adding it to the slow cooker because I only had 3 hours to cook it.***
