May be moving to Cheshire

Any thoughts on a good area to look to live?  We want an area with the best public schools but I don't want H to have a long commute.  Something within 30 minutes or so.  And lower cost housing would be nice too.  Any suggestions?

Re: May be moving to Cheshire

  • Hi there! My husband and I live in Southington. His family all lives in Cheshire and thats where he works, but Southington is "up in coming" as they are redoing the downtown area and there are some beautiful parts! You may want to check it out!!!! Good luck!

  • Hi, I grew up in Southington. My dad works in Cheshire. Cheshire is a nice area, but expensive. They have good schools though, and Cheshire Academy is a really nice private school. Southington's school system is pretty good too. Some nice areas that might be a little less expensive, but still nice are Plainville and Berlin.

You've picked a good area though.. It's not a long drive to Hartford or New Haven, you have a bunch of highways really close, and there is a lot in the area (in terms of shopping, parks, libraries, etc).

Let me know if you need any more info!
