You girls are always so supportive and my family could use any prayers and positive thoughts you have to spare.
I don't have a lot of details other than my nephew, who is 6, was playing in his front yard and was hit by a car and life flighted to Rainbow Babies (they live in Cleveland). His parents were on the way to the hospital last I heard and since you can't use cell phones there, we haven't heard from them yet.
I'm obviously in Columbus and have no idea what to do right now.
Re: Nephew hit by a car
Oh no Sue I am so sorry. I will keep your nephew in my thoughts and prayers. Please let me know if I can do anything else.
HUGS
Thank you everyone. It really is an amazing feeling to have so many well wishes.
The update I have at the moment is that he is in the ICU with a few broken ribs but no other broken bones. They are mostly concerned about his head injuries and they are closely monitoring the slight swelling they've seen on his brain. Obviously this can be very serious so we're not out of the woods yet. He's sedated and unconscious but his parents were at least able to see him, although I don't know if that helped since he's apparently very beat up since he flew quite a distance when he was hit. Apparently the next 72 hours are the most critical so your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
oh my gosh, how terrible. i'll be praying that he is ok!
oh no! how awful :-( Lots of prayers and good thoughts coming your way!
