going to london, paris, scotland
Hi everyone i will be leaving in about a week and a half to meet my husband for his break from iraq. I have never been to europe but i was curious on best places to buy tickets for museums etc? when you get there or are there good websites on line. it is hard for me to buy over line since i dont know if i am getting scammed and it would be less when i got there. just curious if anyone had good tips...
Re: going to london, paris, scotland
Most museums in Great Britain (with the exception of a few exhibits) are free.
For Paris, I'd get a museum pass.
Never been to Scotland so I can't help you there:(
I agree with Tarinay on the Paris museum pass, as long as you'll be in Paris for a while. Look at their website,
www.parismuseumpass.com, and check out the different offers. Depending on the length of time you'll be there and what you want to do, it may or may not be worth it.
You'll have a great trip, plus that is great that you'll be able to be with your DH!
Where in Scotland are you going? All the museums in Glasgow are free for example, but Edinburgh are not.
Feel free to PM me with any Scotland questions.
it's called a kilt, he's scottish
My ego is forcing me to respond LOL - sorry! I knew this, but it just didn't appear that way in my post. Geography is a huge pet peave of mine.
