Breakfast Ideas

I'm supposed to bring breakfast for the office for Admin Professional's Day tomorrow. Other than the usual donuts, what are some other good ideas?

  • Are you the only one bringing something? If so, bagels and cream cheese is always a good idea. Cinnamon Rolls. Fruit.

If a bunch of people are bringing things and you like to cook, here is a really good breakfast casserole recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Country-Breakfast-Casserole/Detail.aspx. Oh, and I used one of the variation that said to use shredded hash browns instead of bread on top. Turned out great.

I made it to bring to work last fall and everybody loved it. I made it up the night before and put it in the oven the next morning while getting ready. It was still really good not piping hot from the oven.

  • I made this and it was yummy! I could not find any onion rolls, so I subbed kaiser rolls and added some addiitonal onion powder to the egg mixutre. Also, I only used 1/2 a stick of butter and would probably cut that down even more next time.

Oh, and I forgot, no need to line the pan with butter, I just sprayed with Pam and it was fine.

  • If you want to bake something, then personally I would just do some type of muffins or banana bread or something like that. Otherwise, pick up a selection of pastries from anywhere from Breadwinners to Central Market to Corner Bakery. I think that a nice tray with a good selection of different things always goes over well because it is far easier to please a crowd with more variety.
  • I vote for Chicken Minis tray from Chick Fil A. YUM,

  • Since it seems like everyone is watching their weight these days, how about maybe a couple of tubs of the Dannon Light & Fit vanilla yogurt, and some sliced strawberries and blueberries?  I brought that to work the last time it was my turn, and everyone loved it!
