I'm blaming Octoberbride...
She's the reason I keep checking the nest. I'm dying to know what her good news is already. I'm thinking of all kinds of "good news" it could be and I keep checking back here to find out. Sheesh. Can't a girl get any work done around here?
Re: I'm blaming Octoberbride...
Boy, are you guys going to be disappointed. . .lol.
I don't want to say it out loud because I don't have official word yet. It has nothing to do with exciting changes, like BFPs or job changes or moving or anything like that. I promise it's as boring as can be, but big news for us and Ava and the future. I promise to spill when it's official. But, I swear, don't let it keep you up at night - it's SO BORING.
Not fair!
If it is boring then it is okay to spill before it is set in stone! Thats the rule.
News is news - good news/boring news - all better than no news!

Danse - nothing yet.
Ladies - please! I promise you, you are building it up. It is NOTHING. Here it is - feel free to voice your disappointment loudly.
It has to do with Ava's daycare. I love the daycare she's in. LOVE it. You guys know how much I rave about it. She's really happy there.
I work at a private school. It's a competitive place and it's a top tier education. I want Ava to go here so badly. Even though I work here, I am not guaranteed a spot -AT ALL. Just to give you an idea - in our equivalent of pre-k, we get 125 - 150 or so applications for 20 spots. I want her to have one of them. We also have a daycare on campus. It's really geared for faculty - the hours are completely inconvenient for staff members who work through the summers and stay well past 3:30. There are quite a few cons. But there are a lot of pros - it's RIGHT HERE and most importantly, it's a feeder into the pre-k. A good number of the onsite daycare students get into the school (they SAY it's not an advantage. . .but, let's face it, it is). I have applied her this year to the daycare - which has an enormous waiting list. I tentatively heard that she has a spot. I heard from a very reliable source - but I haven't gotten anything in writing yet, so i don't want to celebrate just yet. This will be great for her.
I told you. . .BORING. But a big step for us.
And yes, my sister is getting engaged on MONDAY!! I'll spill all the details when I get them. That is way more exciting.
This is NOT boring, silly, it's wonderful news!! How wonderful to not only have her on-site (which is huge as it is)--but that you know it's potential for such a great education!!! Fantabulous!
