I am addicted...

To Deadliest Catch.  I fell in love with this show right after the first time I went to Alaska three years ago.  It is seriously one of my favorite shows.  But, I'm sad because I fell asleep last night and only saw about 20min of the episode and it was supposed to be a good one!

Re: I am addicted...

  • We love it too!
    ~ Carrie ~
  • Kelly we are addicted too and last nights episode was a good one!!!!  I won't tell you what happens unless you want me too Smile
  • Tell me! Tell me!  I'm not very good at waiting.
  • DH is also addicted. When the marathon was on for 2 days before the season started again, I couldnt get him off the couch!! I will admit.....it is a very good show!

  • Ok sooo the captain for the Wizard (the guy in last weeks episode who went to check out the rope and zinc underneath the boat) they think he had a slight concussion from getting hit from the boat but he rested for about 8 hours and was ok.  The boat Cornelia Marie (the one where the captain had to stay back cause he still might have problems with the blood clot) they are not doing good.  All the places that they put their pots in at didnt do much if anything.  The crew is really down about that.  The Time Bandit (captain is Johnathan, his brother is the deck boss and his son is on the crew (his son went away last year but came back at the end of the season)) they are doing the best right now.  There pots are pretty much full where they are at. The Northwestern (captain is Sig) they are doing pretty good. HIs crew was exhausted, they had been up for like 30 something hour straight but they were catching them.

They had a big storm, a typhoon from japan, which was pretty much a combo of 3 storms into one, That affected most of the boats, but nothing major.  There was a cod boat, which was 900 miles west of where all the the other boats were and it was calling mayday on the radio. Their boat was sinking.  The Coast guard couldn't get to them until like 12 hours after wards. There were no survivors and no ship to be found.  They found one body in his survival suit and that was it.  soooo Sooooo sad.  It didn't show previews for next week either.

I hope all that makes sense!!

  • Yay!  Thank you Megan!  That made total sense, at least to me.  I hate when they report on the downed boats becuase it is so sad.  But until they started to do that (what like 3 seasons ago now) I think there were people who thought it was all glorious; as sad as it is, I'm glad they show that stuff, it makes it more real and shows just how dangerous the job really is!  Whew!  Now I can wait until I can actually watch it again on rerun!
  • DH likes this show and has got me watching it too!

  • Kel, it is totally sad when they get calls like that. I'm glad they show it too for the same reasons.  Sadly enough, I'm sure things like that happen more than we know about.  That job is soooo dangerous.  They make good money, but sometimes you ahve to wonder is it worth all that?

Kim, the show is soo addicting.  DH and have been watching since we've been together.  This time of year is always our favorite (as far as tv shows) cause you got AI, Hell's Kitchen, and Deadliest Catch!!
