I want Roman Shades, he wants blinds. We thought we came up with a compromise, Avalon Carpet has what I think is called a Shiloutte Blind. It's kind of a cross between the two. Only problem is that it was $500 per window. Where did you get your window treatments? Any suggestions? TIA
Re: Window Treatements?
Lowes/Home Depot
We mostly have accordian shades and vertical blinds.
Custom blinds are VERY pricy (especially Roman shades). We used Blinds to Go for our bedroom windows - they're good, but expensive.
For non-custom, I always like JC Penny. you can get good sales and try and google a coupon code, too.
For custom - I've ordered faux-wood blinds from www.selectblinds.com. They're quick and the prices are pretty good. Much less than Blinds to Go.
We've gotten non custom roman blinds from JC Penny before and been pretty pleased with both the price and quality. For regular curtains I'm obsessed with Ikea.
