Nashville area fun date ideas

So we've been married now for 6 1/2 months, and I feel we have no fun dates anymore and want to do something new and fun, besides the usual bowling, movies, etc.

Any ideas?

Re: Nashville area fun date ideas

  • Sounds game, Zanies, concert, or Bluebird Cafe for live music. Play tourist for a night downtown and go on a haunted pub tour or just walk around downtown. Walk on the pedestrian bridge and look at the city at night. Go to Bobbie's Dairy dip...
  • Have you gone downtown on Saturday afternoons? ?There is a live band in every bar, no covers, and the bars are never packed. ?

The Hermitage and Cheekwood are cool if you have never been. ?So is Opryland hotel, but I have been there 38247302374 times and I am no longer amused by it. ?Jack Daniels distillery is about an hour out of town and the tour is free. ?The carriage rides downtown are also worth doing.

  • On weekends pack a light picnic basket and head to Arrington Vineyards for live music and great wine.  If you have a dog, go to the dog park.  I know it doesn't sound like a date type of thing, but I think we have more fun than the dogs when we go!
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating? image
  • thanks for the ideas!  We both have lived here most of our lives (+/-25 years) and feel like I'm stumped!

I second Arrington. DH and I have so much fun when we go there. It's a beautiful setting and a great place to relax.

Also, F. Scott's in Green Hills has live jazz and good happy "hour" (until 10 pm!) specials. We went there last weekend and had a wonderful time.

  • Do you like beer? ?The Yazoo brewery tour is fun, and they have a nice (but small) taproom where you could snack on a cheese plate & try one of their flytes.

What about the new Planetarium at the Science Center?

Often there is stuff going on at Centennial Park, like this weekend there's a arts & crafts fair.?

  • We go to the drive-in every once in a while and have a great time.  There is one in Watertown (Stardust drive-in) and another in Woodbury (Moonlite drive-in).  You can't beat seeing 2 new movies for 7 bucks.  I know it's still watching a movie, but it's fun watching them outside.  Smile
