How's Raven doing?
Also, LMAO about you trading him in for Nora!
Re: KristiKess
The giardia and parvo tests came back negative, but they gave me an anti-parasite prescription anyway and also an anti-nausea med. He's on a prescription diet for three days too. Fortunately, he'll be off all meds Saturday morning, so I think we can still bring him to the adoption show.
I love him and if we didn't have a dog, I would keep him. I just don't really like being a two-dog household. He'll get as attached to his forever home as he did to us, right? We're not evil if we don't keep him? I'm sad. I don't think I can foster anymore.
Izzy and Baby A ~ Adorable Punks
Well I'm glad the giardia and parvo tests came back negative (especially the parvo!). Hopefully he'll get healthy soon (and also stop puking everywhere, because I know that's no fun to clean up!).
Yes, he will most certainly become as attached to his forever home as he is to yours. I promise! I actually just got an update about Ashlynn (the JRT from the puppymill) from her forever home. She is doing amazing there! She has come leaps and bounds as far as her seperation anxiety goes, she's playing with toys all the time (she didn't even know what toys were when we got her) and all around has a fantastic life and is definitely attached to her new family. DH and I were a little worried about her since she seemed so incredibly attached to me; so if she can bond so well with her new family, Raven definitely can (especially since he's already so social - - Ashlynn wasn't nearly as well socialized as Raven is).
And no, you're not evil for not keeping him! If foster homes kept every dog they got, they couldn't foster very many dogs before running out of room! There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to stay a one dog household; and I know it's especially difficult since Nora seems to like being an only child Even if you decide that fostering is too much to handle with Nora, you are giving Raven such a wonderful gift by taking care of him right now. You should be really proud of yourself - you've had to go through a lot to foster him (Nora not liking him, now him being sick...).
