How was your day?

Let's see...me, I woke still sick, had a dr's appt. to discover I do indeed have a sinus infection, got some drugs and came home to my very unhappy husband who was trying to install all the fixtures in our bathroom.  (He's been to Lowe's 2x today).  While I was having my lunch, my school secretary called to say my principal's 20 month old granddaughter died.  Off to school to activate the crisis chain.  Got home, DH still cursing the bathroom, I still can't breath, I continue to field phonecalls.  Now: The sink still isn't attached to the wall, DH is aggravated, I haven't eaten and still feel like crap.

I'm hoping by posting this someone will tell me that they had a great day enjoying the beautiful weather doing something fun, which will make me feel better about my day.

As always, thanks for letting me vent.

Re: How was your day?

  • oh my gosh your poor principal and their family. ?How sad. ?Sounds like quite the day. ?I actually did get to enjoy the weather but feel bad posting about it in light of your day. ?((HUG)) ?Hope you feel better soon.
  • Oh geeze Cora! What a day you had. I'm sorry to hear about your principal's granddaughter. Very sad. My thoughts go out to him.

I woke up with my head aching. Off to school for me at the high school today. I finished testing my last student at the HS for the rest of the year (yay!). I ended up going home early?because?even though I took my allergy meds, I felt like crap, still do! It's all in my head. ?I have a few reports for the middle school that I need to hand into my supervisor so she can edit them over the break. (Aren't I nice?) but I have a feeling I'm not going to get to them. I've been home since 2 laying down and doing nothing. We still don't have deck furniture, so I have no place to sit outside, but at least my sliding door is open.

All I keep thinking is that tomorrow is Friday and the start of my break. I can't wait for Boston on Sunday! :D?

  • Sorry to hear day was less than happy. That is awful about your principal. How sad.

I feel awkward writing anything happy after that.

But today was my last day at my sister's in DC. When they dropped me off at the airport my 2 year old nephew kept saying "Where'd auntie go? Want auntie" Repeatedly. From the moment I kissed him goodbye, until he fell asleep at naptime. I thought it was sweet.

  • Steffie, Congrats on the last eval!  That's awesome.  Can you believe you're almost done?  Be careful about the allergy congestion, that's how mine started.  But then again, being PG I can't take a decongestant.
  • Thanks Cora....I still have 3 to test at the middle school. UGH! It is almost over. Actually at the end of this month I should have all 1200 hours completed, but I'm gonna hang out until June. I still have meetings at the middle school until the end of May. The last day of school is the 27th (yuck) ?of June and I am seeing Billy Joel on the 26th. I think I'll be done on the 25th. :)

I am going to take a 12 hour sudafed right now. I can't take my head feeling like this.?

  • sorry it hasen't been a good day for you! I hope tomorrow is much better.

I don't even like to talk about work afterwards if I can help it because it feels like "too much" and I want to try to enjoy some of this weather and take my mind of things if I can help it.  The positives for today is that I got my hair trimmed, and highlighted.

  • I am so sorry to hear about your principal... that is terrible.. Last January one of my coworkers own baby 4 months died and it was tough. Just be a good listener...

    god bless

  • I'm so sorry your day was so rough.  Being sick is bad enough, but you had a trifecta of bad stuff.

Today was such a nice day I walked during lunch and I'm getting ready to go walking now to end the day on a peacefull note.  I hope your day ends with some peace to it.  ::hugs::

  • I'm so sorry you had such a bad day!  That's so sad about your principal's granddaughter.

My day was pretty good.  I met up with some other Nestie moms who are also going back to work soon and went for a walk in the beautiful weather.  Hopefully I'll get to post some pics later, or maybe Dancing_fiend will since she has one of all of us.  It was great seeing all those babies together, but the down side was that my girls were little terrors when we got home because they were all off their routine.  They were exhausted and fussy but wouldn't take a nap until 6pm!  I was ready to pull my hair out & am now having a glass of wine to relax.
