Northside Brunch Recommendations?

My DH loves to go out for brunch on Sunday mornings.  Nothing fancy, just good food.  We've tried Le Peep, Cafe Patachou and Brunchies.

 Any other recommendations?

 Thanks!

Re: Northside Brunch Recommendations?

  • Ruth's is fantastic.  It's just south of the Fashion Mall (in the strip mall just west of Reis Nichols jewelers - the one with the Maggie Moo's.)  The food is great, the homemade scones are served with lemon curd and clotted cream (yum) and the owner/chefs actually care about whether or not you liked it! (Unlike some experiences that I've had at Patachou.)  Enjoy!

  • There is a place just north of Westfield (on 31) and I think it's called "Lincoln Square" (the name has changed a few times).  It's kind of a greasy spoon and they have really yummy breakfast food.  I love their pancakes.  The one downside is that they have a smoking section (that's where the greasy spoon part comes in), it's really only bothersome in the entry area as the non-smoking seating is a ways away.  It's not at all Cafe Patachou-esque, but good for more of a down home type meal.
  • Not too familiar with brunch places in the Carmel area as we live near BR.  Our favorite places are Petit Chou, Taste, Zest, Sahm's Place, and Biscuits (total greasy spoon but DH loves it).  Also, Illinois Street Emporium has a good breakfast and amazing pastries!  Their chocolate chip scones are the best!
  • How is the brunch at LePeeps? We live in Castleton and have been thinking about trying it. Roughly how much is it per person?
  • I think Le Peep is very affordable.  Cheaper than Cafe Patachou.  Roughly 7$pp.  I think you can call ahead for seating too which is nice.
  • Hi Laura! Thanks for posting this. We've been trying to find brunch/breakfast places as well.?

Has anyone been to Sunrise/Sunshine (not sure) Cafe on 116th St in Fishers? ?

  • Thanks everyone!
  • I'm a little late with this- and most of my recommendations are like Broadripple area- but worth trying out. Scholars Inn, 3 Sisters are two really great choices in BR- there is also a Scholars Inn on Mass Ave downtown.

The Weber Grill also has a great breakfast buffet- it's downtown, but would definitely be worth doing sometime.

  • I'm a little late too...but Sunrise Cafe is a great place!
