sooo....dh is on this healthy kick right now. He decided to put quite a variety of veggies into the juicer to make his "lunch." Those veggies would be...carrots, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and dried oregano. I was gagging just smelling the concoction...dh was loving it. Anyways, he gets his glass full, waters it down a teeny bit and downs the entire thing. He's regretting his decision now, I'll just put it that way.

Re: dh+juicer=bad idea
eek! onion and garlic? that must have made for some funky breathe
Kudos to him for trying to be healthy though! Maybe suggest making smoothies rather than veggie juice? We make smoothies sometimes when I need to use up fruit- delish and healthy!
We got a juicer a few months ago, and I tried to make my version of V-8 juice. I added tomatoes, beets, carrots, celery, parsley, and spinach. It tasted good for the first few sips, and then hubs and I both gagged on it. I think I used too much spinach and parsley.
Hint: carrot-ginger juice, and fresh apple juice are our favorites.
Ugh.
Here's a tip for him - cucumbers will make the juice a bit sweeter.
and fruit's not bad either! When I was on a juicing kick my fave was a strawberry smoothie with carrot juice.
