Mom's.....is this normal???
I am kinda freaking out over this & I just need some reassurance. Lucas' new thing is that he loves to spin wheels on some of his toys...of course me being the neurotic freak that I am, googled this and came up with some autism sights that mention wheel spinning. He doesn't do it all the time but now when I see him do it I kinda get nervous and start questioning all of the other things he does.....anyone else have a dc that liked to spin wheels on things.....I am freaking out!!
Re: Mom's.....is this normal???
Oops! I meant to say, Avery has been doing this recently. He pushs the trucks the normal way too, but he does turn them over and plays wiith the wheels. My 1st thought was Jenny McCarthy on Opera talking about her son. I think it's normal. He does everything else like a smile, gives me hugs and interacts with me, so I try not to worry so much. I'm sure Lucas is fine.
Oct-
He is very alert, responds to his name, is always happy and smiling......autism just freaks me out!!!!!!!! He does use the cars in the traditional way, like before he had a train and he was rolling it back and forth....It is just very scary!!!!
I had the same concern when Jillie first got interested in wheels. I swear, that Oprah has us all on high alert.
I saw your follow up and that sounds very normal. If he were watching the wheels spin for hours on end to the exclusion of other toys/ignoring you, that's when I'd talk to the pedi about it.
Damn that Oprah!!!!!
Thanks ladies.....I just can't read into his every move and I need to relax!!!
