Cheap restaurants in South Beach?

Hi! my Dh and i are headed to South Beach on Friday for 4 nights/5 days and are looking to mainly relax. We are interested in some cheap restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Any ideas? thanks!

Re: Cheap restaurants in South Beach?

  • You do realize that is an oxymoron, right?!  LOL

I highly recommend Lincoln Road.  It offers a huge selection of economically priced restaurants.  Our favorits include Nexxt (similar to Cheesecake Factory), Rancho Grande (amazing Mexican food, and great margaritas), Pizza Rustica (for quick gourmet pizza), Parmalat (great gilato).  We used to live right off Lincoln Rd and we loved walking the road at night and just people watching... cute shops, bars, restaurants, entertainment.

Mangos is further south on So. Beach, and is a very touristy place and fun.  Opa is moderately priced and lots of fun... and dancing on tables.  It is Mediterreanean (sp).  For drinks, Wet Willie's has great frozen drinks.

  • On Ocean Drive they normally have good deals for lunch & early dinners like by one get one free. They are actually not bad.

  • Oh, and other classics are News Cafe on Ocean Drive, and Van ***'s on Lincoln Rd.

  • thanks! We do have some coupons for a Cuban restaurant and a Haitian restaurant and we have reservations at A Fish Called Avalon for our pricey meal, but are looking for some cheaper places for lunch so we don't go overboard and spend too much!
  • Also highly recommend Jerry's Famous Diner and Pinks
