Moms - fan or A/C?

DD's room is southern exposure, and gets gorgeous sunlight all day long.  However, now with summer coming, her room will be quite warm.  Is it better to have an A/C or fan in the window?  I don't think DH is going to want to install a ceiling fan....

Re: Moms - fan or A/C?

  • Our house gets very warm upstairs so we had an a/c in Lucas' window last year, we just kept the temp setting up higher so it wasn't too cool for him.
  • We did A/C in the window.  It was just a lot easier to control and set one constant temp that way.
  • We got an ac for her window.  We spent a little bit more money for one that is digital and regulates itself.  I set it at 70 I think so it would stay a comfortable temp all the time.
  • We had a unit for the boys room. We spent a little more though for the digital read that adjusts itself. I think I kept it around 68-70.

We got a new c/a unit though, so I am not sure how it will work this summer.
