we watched "marley and me" this weekend

good lawd hammercy, i wish i'd have known it would be the saddest.fuucking.movie.ever.

i was BAWLING.  like, sobbing.  man.  i don't think i've cried like that during a movie since...oh, i can't even remember.

and he'd kill me for saying it, but i totally watched the hub switch positions a couple of times to keep me from seeing him wipe away tears too.

sure made me appreciate mollydog a little more, as mad as that littlebitch makes me sometimes.

Re: we watched "marley and me" this weekend

  • They showed this on the plane during our flight home from MI and I cried like a small child throughout the movie.  Totally made me miss Football (who was a total terror in the beginning, just like Marley)....and made me cuddle with Maganda (who happened to be on the plane with us) that much more.

This is why I tell people to have tissues handy if they plan on watching this movie. However, I thought the book was even sadder if you can imagine such a thing.

  • I have the dvd but haven't watched it yet.  Can't wait!
  • I cried through the last 30 minutes of the movie & so did R when we saw it in theaters (it even made me miss the terrorist of a lab that my ex-h has custody of).

I don't think too many parents realized what a sad movie it is. We saw it on a Saturday afternoon and our theater was packed with kids, a handful of which were sobbing/screaming at the end. Awkward.

  • I still laugh when I see the commercials for the DVD and they show Marley with his front paws out of the car half-walking, half being driven down the road. ?Love.
