Brother graduating law school - gift ideas?
He is graduating next month, and moving into a new apartment in Boston at the end of the summer. My mom got him a limited edition framed pic of Mariano Rivera, and my other brother is getting him a framed pic of Yankee stadium....so, I don't want to get him more "wall" stuff. Any ideas? I'm getting him a nice picture frame from Hailey for his desk at work. I'm looking to spend between 100-200 dollars. TIA!
Re: Brother graduating law school - gift ideas?
Looking back the perfect (and what I would have appreciated the most) gift would have been a "bar studying kit" - gift cards for dunkin donuts/starbucks, pre-paid gas cards, restaurant gift cards so I could just do take out, highlighters, advil, snack food, etc. along with a personal touch - the picture of Hailey for his desk at work. Everything else I got is just gathering dust in the basement (granted I don't practice anymore, which might have something to do with it.)
Although I would definitely have appreciated a Coach briefcase!! Somehow I don't think Coach has the same draw for men.
ditto Kate and Jen. I think the best gifts for a newbie lawyer are GCs for dress clothes, a nice bag/briefcase, or survival stuff to help with the bar. I would have also loved GCs for dinner too, because having to take the time to cook while studying for the bar was not fun at all.
