Citifield review -
It is gorgeous. We walked most of the perimeter of the building and there are flags of past Mets greats along each side. We could actually see the door to the clubhouse along the right field side. We met Howie Rose (radio announcer) and mh talked to him for a minute. His voice is much deeper than it sounds over the air.
The fan walk is very cool. Most of you probably don't know but the Mets sold bricks to be put into the fanwalk with all the proceeds going to local charities. They were beautiful and lead straight into the Jackie Robinson Rotunda. It's a little sparse right now but they should be adding more to it.
When we went up to field level, we were both impressed. You really can see the entire field from anywhere on that level. Since we were there so early, we walked the whole thing. We saw the wiffle ball field for the kids, the Shake Shack, the Acela Club, the Pepsi Porch. And everything.
I got hit by a rolling fridge. lol ... I'm OK but this guy just plowed into me.
Oh, and while we were there, they had a GAME. lol ... go figure. We sat in the promenade until the mid 7th inning so we got to see the first grand slam ever at Citi. And then we were down on the field level for the last run of the game.
MH got me a pic of Ryan Church's butt which made my night. Overall, great ballpark. I can't wait to go back.
