Do you care that the Pope is here?

I feel like I'm watching the Pope channel.  All Pope, all the time.  It's like 1/2 of the local news.  I'm not Catholic, so it really doesn't factor into my life.  Is anyone going to see him or have any feelings about it?  Just curious.

I'm not Catholic so it doesn't matter to me if he was in NYC or in Vatican City.  I think he's become largely a figure head, like the Queen.

I think it is great that he is here but would probably be more excited about it if I were going to worship with him. I can see how it is overkill for those who aren't catholic though.

Nope, not really. Not Catholic here. I mean, if the leader of the Greek Orthodox church came here or any other religion, I don't think he'd get the same kind of?pageantry.

Yah if a Muslim leader came, I'd be interested in knowing if he'd get the same attention.  Though I know the Dali Lhama had quite the following.

I am Catholic so I enjoy seeing the coverage. I think he deserves respect as do all religious leaders. I understand why people that aren't Catholic wouldn't care about the Pope. I listened to him speak this morning and he had some interesting things to say.

Not in the least.  I am Catholic.and I went to catholic grammar school, catholic HS, a catholic (Jesuit) college and a catholic (Jesuit) graduate school.  I guess it just never took.  lol.

Honestly I wish that I had the opportunity to go the NY Stadium for the Mass.  I am Catholic and I am interested in what is going on and what the Pope's has to say.  However, I do feel the media coverage is a little over done... the media is like that with everything these days.

I  haven't really thought about it until seeing this post, so I would say that I was indifferent but now I think it's pretty special that he's here.

I don't.. But I'm not catholic either.. I do think it's cool that DH's 2 aunts get to go see his mass tomorrow. We were put on the wait list but didn't get on which is fine too. That's going to be insane tomorrow!
