First chance to meet friends
So my cousin lives out here I haven't seen her since we were kids. well she is having a party and invited us. It's a great way to meet new people! She invited 54 people you see I'm not good in large social settings even my wedding made me nervous (I wanted to send some people home). At least I'll have my hubby to hang on to! Hopefully I won't have too much anxitey and be able to meet new people.

Just remember that most everyone else is nervous about meeting new people as well. So try instead to make others feel comfortable - ask them about their lives, families, work, etc. And when you are concentrating on that...you don't worry quite as much about what they think of you, whether they like you, what to say, etc.
