XP: Thoughts and Prayers Please

Hi Everyone.

I had my baby, Brynne Elizabeth, Saturday, April 25th at 9.27 AM. She was 19.25 inches long,  7 lbs 7.8 ounces and the most beautiful little lady I have ever met in my life.

I brought her home from Harrisburg Hospital at 1:00 PM yesterday. We were home for a few hours when I noticed a change in her disposition and coloring. I took her temperature and found that she was running a fever. At 9:30PM her pediatrician told us to take her to the emergency room.

I took her to the ER at Harrisburg Hospital. We were there for about 20 minutes and left. The wait just to get triaged was four hours. The waiting room was the filithiest sess pool I have ever visited in my life. After trying to nurse her in a bathroom that was more filthy than a bathroom at an NYC subway station, we decided to leave and go to Holy Spirit Hospital.

We were able to walk into a private ER room at Holy Spirit immediately but still waited hours to see the doctor. After 6 hours in the ER room, at 5:00 AM Brynne was admitted to the NICU.

They tell me she will be okay, but will need to stay for 7-10 days to be on antibiotics.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Emily

I'm so sorry to hear about her rough first day home though.  My thoughts are with her and your family.  I hope she can make a full recovery as soon as possible!
