Book Review: Certain Girls
Jennifer Weiner books are some of the only ones that I'll buy in hard cover, and this one was worth it. It wasn't super heavy, but it wasn't light either - this is not a breezy book. It took me a bit to get into it, but once I did I was completely hooked and had a hard time putting it down. The proverbial "I laughed, I cried" was also very true for me while reading it!
I definitely recommend it!
Re: Book Review: Certain Girls
Yea, glad to hear you liked the book so much! I also buy all Weiner's books as well, and I've been saving this one until my Spring Vacation this week to read. I'm really looking forward to starting it now that I've heard how much you enjoyed it. Do you read Sophie Kinsella's books as well? I bought her new one too, Remember Me? and I haven't read that one yet either.
If you're looking for a new author to read, I LOVE Elin Hilderbrandt. Her books take place on Nantucket, and I just love them. Her newest one, Barefoot, was excellent, and I loved it! Another one by her is called Summer People, and I really loved that one too. Just thought I'd share since it seems we might have similar likes in authors.
Thanks for the review--enjoy your Saturday!
