My husband and I are going to be TTC soon and were told by my current doctor to start looking for an OBGYN soon. If you like yours let me know, also anyone to avoid would be good.
Some of the ones we're considering are:
Christine Berg
Brian Bear
Amy Miller-McCarthey
We live in the New Berlin/Greenfield/West Allis area. Also if you know anything about West Allis Memorial or St Joseph for delivering, let me know that as well as those 3 doctors all deliver at just those 2 hospitals and maybe St Francis.
Thanks!
Re: Recommend your OBGYN
I see Cheryl Jaeger, she's a Certified Nurse Midwife and is at the West Allis Women's Pavilion. The clinic she works at also had 4 OB's, but I haven't met any of them. I have however heard good things about them.

I absolutely LOVE her. She has been so great and I know a ton of people who have seen her and they all rave about her. She is so caring and genuine, I feel like I am her only patient!
Don't know those 3, but mine is Dr. Michael Lund at Froedtert. ?I loved him, he came very highly recommended by a friend who is an ob herself. ?He's real laid back, easy going and relaxed which is what I (a professional worry-er) needed. ?I loved froedtert and was really happy with my choice.
?My friend who is an OB is Dr. Allison Ring, I would have gone with her but friends being your doc is too tough. ?She is at St. Mary's downtown.

I am going to be seeing Dr. Bear. i have about 4 friends that see him and they like him a lot. I hear that if you end up with a c-section your scar is so tiny no one will know.
I saw the group that Amy Miller-McCarthey is with. HATED them. You supposedly see all the docs in there group when you are pregnant, but i didn't. I complete stranger delivered DS. I also never meet Dr. Miller-McCarthy. I always saw Dr. Lloyd because she always has openings. The reason why is she has absolutely no bed side manner. I strongly believed they missed signs that I was going to have complications and deliver pre-term. I told two of the doc there that I just didn't feel that things were right. I also told them a few hours before i went into full out labor and water breaking that i thought i was leaking and they blew me off. I really think i could have avoided having a baby in the NICU if they would have listened to me.
Thanks for all of your suggestions! You're so helpful!
Anyone have any experiences with St Joseph or West Allis Memorial for child birth? A family friend had a negative experience with West Allis Memorial, but that was quite a few years ago and it was when their son had knee surgery. So I'm wondering how they are for child birth.
St. Joes is not as fancy, but the care is superb. My friend delivered both her kids their and loves it.
I did not have a good experience at West Allis, but that was with the NICU. Since I didn't have a baby in my room I did get ignored a little which was not exactly a bad thing. I got more sleep.
With Dr. Bear you have a choice of the two hospitals. I might deliver at West Allis again, but if they think i will have problems or have another preemie I will probably go to St. Joes. If I make it to term I think i will go back to West Allis.
