Please tell me there are Spurs fans here
This isn't my home board, but my heart is in San Antonio with the Spurs. I'm so PISSED right now. Anyone care to commiserate?
Re: Please tell me there are Spurs fans here
Ugh. We can point to Manu not being in the lineup all we want, but the fact remains, they played horribly. As inconsistent as they played during the whole regular season, I was shocked that they finished third in the West, to be honest.
They need some young talent that can score, instead of a lot of six-foot-ten power forwards (Gooden, Thomas), who can?t score and who can?t help Duncan against big seven-foot centers. Tonight PROVED that. What, Duncan and Parker had like 80 points between them and no one else even hit double digits?
Come on, Pop. Time to up the game.
And of course, all my family and most of my friends are Mavs fans. I'm catching it on facebook right now.
Yeah, he needs a strong score-er that he can mentor, the way Robinson did for him. Surely Pop will have to make some changes now. We can't be that reliant on our three key players ... we have to have some "clutch" guys.
I'm refusing to talk to the Mavs fans now. But when I do, I guess I'll say, "Congratulations. You beat a team of old guys, minus one of their key players. Oh well. Guess we'll just have to polish up those FOUR NBA championship rings."
Are you in SA? Is there mourning in the streets?
I'm in SA but I live with a HUGE Mavs fan (DH)...our dog is even named Maverick!
Oh dear! The Mavs fans are crazy because they've never actually won anything. It's like a drug.
Yes, even the weather is sad for the Spurs...its all overcast and dreary (at least on my side of town).
I'm sad for the boys but I'm hoping they'll get some rest and young recruits in the off-season.
College football, anyone?
I'm so sad! We played like absolute crap though so it was kind of expected. I had hoped they'd at least make it to game 7.
Sorry K, no college football here. I prefer the professional version. You'll have to get Kate to watch with you!
Bah, professional football. Although I'll probably be watching more NFL this year since Crabtree was picked up by the 49ers. Guess I'm a 49ers/Patriots fan.
p.s. I *hate* the Cowboys.
Us too! At least we've got that in common. Go Colts!
