i am really sorry for freaking everyone out...

that is not my intention. i am just trying to get a point across through the internet which i have come across as overly paranoid and screaming at you all, and i am sorry...

i just hope that everyone is aware that this is happening and takes precautions (especially with small children).?

Re: i am really sorry for freaking everyone out...

  • don't worry....I am still not freaking out.  Like I said, sometimes we are in the wrong place at the wrong time....
  • Its fine Shari.  I just wasn't that worried until I started reading your posts.

If it makes you feel any better I just went and talked to a few of the Infectious Diseases Specialits here at the hospital.  They said that even if (God forbid) the baby did catch it, it is just like having the flu.  She'll get better.  She may need IV fluids if her fever gets to high, but that's about it.  It would ruin our vacation, but she would get better.  I hope that makes you feel better.

  • I'm still not panicked. Statistically more people die in car accidents everyday then with the flu/swine flu. There will always be dangers in the world they just change.

Why don't you just start a "Spearmint Swine Flu" blog and get your word out that way.  Believe me, we all are aware of what is happening and how to lessen our chances of catching it...most of us watch the news, read newspapers, ect.  We are getting bombarded with information.  It's really not necessary for you to post every 2 seconds about this topic.  Are you trying to cause hysteria?
