So DH and I are going to Orlando for a wedding this weeekend. We might hit up Universal Satuday morning. Do you girls who have been there know if this would be ok to do before the wedding on Saturday. Or is that going to be to much going on. Also do you have any recs for restaurants in Orlando. I am super excited about going away for the weekend. And I have never been to Orlando.

Re: Going to Orlando....
it really depends how late in the afternoon the wedding is going to be. if its in the evening you might be able to pull it off but just know you're going to be exhausted for sunday...is there any possible way you might want to go to the park on sunday??? if you're driving there that might be something you would like to look into.
btw, islands of adventure is the park for adults...it def has more adult rides than kiddie rides. universal studios is more laid back...this you def can do on saturday.
I haven't been to Universal in over 10 yrs... so I don't recall how big / much there is to do. Like Cynthia said, Isd of Adventure (right next to Universal) is a lot of fun, and mostly geared towards adults... lots of rollercoasters.
If you are pressed for time, I would recommend buying a "speed pass"... I'm not sure if they sell them anymore, but I did buy it once and it was totally worth the extra $25. Basically, you can ride each ride once w/out having to make any line whatsoever. Each ride has a seperate line for the speedpass.
As for restaurants, I'm a bit biased, but I would recommend Margaritaville in City Walk. I believe there is also an ESPN there, which if you and / or Dh are into a good game that night, you can watch it there... PLENTY of Tvs. LOL

Hi there. Depending on what time the wedding is, imo most parks will tire you out. If you are up for it, Islands is awesome.
I agree with pp about City Walk. There is lots of stuff to do there and its free!
Thanks girls I figured that we would be exhausted trying to go to the wedding and the theme park. I want to have energy for the wedding. Maybe we will pass on the theme park and go to the city walk instead. So is the city walk a bunch of shops and restaurants?
