American Idol...whats up with Jamie Fox?

Ok, sorry to any fans out there, but Jamie Fox needs to stick to acting.  You can't even hear him singing, his voice has a synthesizer on it and the back ground music is so loud.  This reminds me of when Lisa Marie Presley tried to sing and came out with an album, her voice was horrible and they covered it up with background singers and music.

I love this show, this was really disappointing.

  • Yeah, I thought that was very odd too...
  • I'm not a fan of Jamie Foxx, per se, but that song has really grown on me.Embarrassed

  • I like that song, but I agree he didn't sound good last night. Jamie Foxx actually has a really good singing voice, I was disappointed that he had the synthesizer on his voice. He's good enough that he should stick to straight singing, but I guess this is the trend right now.
  • I fast-forwarded through most of the results show but I do like Jamie Foxx and wonder why he (or his record producers) thinks he needs a synthesizer.
  • I almost never watch anything but the last 10 minutes of the result show. I just zipped right past him last night.

  • He picked a wrong song to sing on AI...That song is the on top of the Billboards and thats why he probably chose it or they asked him to sing it. He is actually a great singer. He should have went with one of his R & B songs that are also hits. He was using Auto Tunes which is very popular now amongst hip hop artist now a days. Lil John brought this style back and now many artist, like P. Diddy and Jamie are trying to use it. It sounds good on radio for upbeat songs like that, not so much live.
  • That is too bad. I went to a few Jaime Foxx comedy shows and he has a GREAT voice but I guess that isn't what's selling nowadays.
