Toddler activities needed...please :)
I've noticed many of you are in my general area...and many of you have kiddies. I want to find a class or fun place to let my little guy burn off some energy and get his socialization time in. I'm starting to feel guilty that I monopolize his time!
I just got a membership to the zoo, but he's mostly in his stroller there. I hesitate at Gymboree, I just don't know!!! Any ideas would be appreciated
Re: Toddler activities needed...please :)
i've never taken my baby to Gymboree but I've taken her to several different indoor playgrounds. And she seems to really enjoy it!
i also take her outsde to play, or to the park on the swings.
yesterday I had to take her to daycare for half day and she really enjoyed it!
i've spoken to the director and i will be taking her one day a week, this helps them start interacting with kids and playing with different toys I that I dont have at home.
Good luck!
gymboree or little gym (i believe there's one in monrovia, on foothill) are great options for playing with other kids and burning off energy. ?he's at a great age for those classes.
your local library probably does a free weekly storytime. ?we go to the one in glendora and they have a little play area that the kids can play in, read books, play with puzzles. ?storytime is in a separate room, where the librarian will read fun books, sing songs, pass out little toys to play with.
we also go to the park regularly. ?if you go before school lets out, it's mostly younger kids.?
I think Little Gym is great. In fact, I take my son to the one in La Canada and it is the same owner as the one in Monrovia, Sarah, who is a super cool lady. It has been a great resource for my son who is HIGH energy ALL the time.
We recently purchased a family annual pass at the LA Arboretum ($70) which gets you into a lot of places besides that location, including Descanso Gardens. We generally go to Descanso because it is closer to us and Gavin runs all over the place and we get some nice scenery along the way. They also have a cute little train that he loves to ride.
And KidSpace is another great place, located near the Rose Bowl, that would be a lot of fun for you and your son.
Haha...I guess we do go to the park! AND our library is almost open so we'll go there too
Thanks for the replies! Great ideas!
