mother's day...
it's in two weeks!!! anyone have gift ideas on what to get the moms in their lives??
i'm getting my mommy juicy couture perfume. don't know about my MIL...probably some shoes. she loves shoes. or a purse. it really depends on what i see. and then something small for my SIL.
any suggestions for my SIL?? i usually try not to get her something too big since she isn't our mother, but she is a mom in our lives.
what about the expectant moms...are you guys expecting to receive anything?

For your SIL, how about a small orchid, or other plant / flower she likes?
I have no idea what to get the moms in our lives. DH mentioned he wanted to send MIL a bouquet of flowers to her work (she'd LOVE the attention LOL), but I'd like to get her something extra on the side... maybe some cute shoes. For my mom, I was thinking either a GC for a mani/pedi (which she gets regularly and loves it) or a GC to Macy's (I know impersonal, but everytime I get her something, she returns / exchanges it!).
Now, I never get SIL anything, but this yr, since she lost her mom recently, I was thinking of framing a nice pic I have of her mom w/ niece (SIL's daughter)... what do you guys think? Too soon?
And for the grandmas, I was thinking flowers.

Jackie- your mom and my mom must be sisters. the only reason i know my mom wants that perfume is b/c she mentioned it to me the other day at the mall. if not she would def return w/e me or my brother give her...she's very difficult to shop for.
As for your SIL...I think that's something really nice. Its sentimental but something she would def treasure.
Jackie read my mind with the orchids and flowers. I am not planning to spend too much this year, so I was thinking orchid plants for everyone (our 2 moms and our 3 grandmothers).
I am not expecting anything and I really hope no one gets me anything because I will be totally embarassed. DH might get me flowers...that's the only thing I could see happening. He joked the other day about this specific thing he wants and said something like, "hey, for father's day!" but I think he was totally joking. I don't believe we'll be exchanging gifts this year for those holidays.

The other day during my lunch hour a rep came from Treasures for Mommy..It's customized jewelry and I thought it was very unique and different..Basically I got my sister, 2 SILs, MIL, and mom little braceletls with hearts and little kids representing each of their kids...If you want more info check out www.treasuresformommy.com ..HTH
I didn't notice how close it was i have no idea what to get them. My sister wanted to take my mom to lunch but i dont think she will go since her mom is still in the hospital
