camera lens upgrade---
I have the Canon Rebel xti- w/ 18-55mm lens. I want to upgrade my lens- Can you please recommend what lens I should get?

depends on what you want it for.
I have a telephoto - 75mm-300mm that I love for nature pics but you really need a tri-pod some of the time.
I also got a 50mm for Christmas that I really, really, really love.
My dream lens is the 24-70mm but at $1,200 I will be waiting a long time for that one (I would also want a better camera body).
You can rent lenses from places like Arlington Camera - I would do that & then buy.
