Hi Girls - NIOSA question

Hey yall -

I grew up in SA but live in Colorado now and I'm headed home this week to visit my family and -bonus- it's Fiesta week! Ok, so its been probably 8 years or so since I've been to Fiesta - is it worth going to anymore? Or is it just a total mess now and I should waste my time...?

Thanks!?

Re: Hi Girls - NIOSA question

  • I was kinda wondering the same since I moved back recently.  I have a friend that has been every year since we were kids and says it is pretty much the same, but with more ppl.  I think going earlier before sundown is better than waiting until later.  And college night is Thursday night, so I'd avoid that night!  A lot of ppl are opting to go to Taste of Northside on Wednesday night instead of NIOSA.

  • I don't know about NIOSA... we're not going this year bc we already have a lot going on this week.

We are going to Taste of the Northside on Wed. and I really want to go to the King William Fair next Saturday.?

  • We still go to NIOSA almost every year. Last year the crowds weren't bad. The earlier in the week you go and the earlier in the evening the better of course. A lot of the smaller events have been growing in size though.

  • We usually go on Friday only...it's not quite as packed and we go pretty early. I also always go the Taste of the Northside on Wednesday. It's my favorite Fiesta event!
  • I haven't ever been to NIOSA but I got suckered into working a booth this year, which is actually going to be a lot of fun I'm learning!  Come see me, we'll be at the booth with the cucumbers and chile/lime on Friday from 5:30-8:00.  Don't ask.  :)  I'd love to meet some fellow nesties.  :)  Jennifer
