I just need to vent.

A month or so ago I took on some additional responsibilities here and seriously had one hour of training from the person who left the company.  I get asked a million questions and seriously don't have a clue about how to answer them and no one at my company can...they come to me, rriiiight.  I am dealing with some pretty serious issues with employees and it's not fair for them to not get the right information.  It's just annoying because I don't know what I am doing...ugh.  Sucks.

Im sorry jen. I imagine that is very upsetting. I hate when companies do that and they whip you into a new placement but expect you to know how to do it without proper training.

Very annoying! That same sort of thing happened to me when we had lay offs earlier this year and I had to take over another workers responsibilities. I was given 30 mins to help her pack her desk and learn all her responsibilities.

Can you contact that employees former boss to see if they might know how to handle the issues?

that sucks.  Hopefully it gets easier and your able to make sense out of it all.

That is very annoying. The same thing happened at my last job. Someone was fired and left obviously with no notice and I basically had to figure out not only her job but where she left off on everything. I hate not knowing what I am doing especially when it's not your fault. I really hope people cut you some slack.

Yeah that's no good then! Sorry I hope you're able to figure it out soon so the employees get the right information.
