Recs for celebrating 30th Bday
Hello!
I am planning a surprise trip for DH's 30th Bday in May and would love any recommendations you have for food, drinks, entertainment, etc.
We will be there during the week and I would love some fun ideas for day and night!
We are both big into food, wine and great cocktails.

I don't know what you're looking for, but my recent favourite restaurant is La Sardine, a French bistro in the west loop. ?Check it out if you're in the area.
If you're into great cocktails, then you must go to Violet Hour in Wicker Park. It's my favorite spot in the city. If there's a line to get in, understand that they only let as many people inside as they have numbers of seats. So once you're in, you're guaranteed a seat.
There are lots of good dining options in that neighborhood, too. I'd go on Yelp.com, pick Wicker Park, Bucktown, and Ukranian Village, and start browsing.
