FIL is a sexist jerk
We had a wedding this weekend, Mike was a GM, it was a fabulous wedding and a really good time. The IL's were also invited since the groom and Mike grew up together and they were family friends. FIL is a jackass, no nicer way to say it. He asked one of Mike's friends "I heard you got married recently, so are you still working or are you at home yet?", then another "Didn't you get married recently, where are those babies". As if that was ANY of his business!!! (Both of those comments could maybe be okay if said in a joking manner, but that is not how FIL says anything). They were both so offended they of course told me, and I apologized, even though it was completely not my fault. I just can NOT stand him. He says stuff to offend me and my SIL on a regular basis and it takes everything in me not to say something very rude back. I know he is who he is and he isn't changing, which is why I don't bother fighting with him. I just don't even know how to respond to some of his horrible comments. Good thing I don't need to see him very often after 18 more miserable months. Any advice how to deal with a$shole FILs??

I'm sorry you have to deal with this..
IMO, your DH should say something. ?It's difficult NOT to say anything.. but I think to keep the peace between you and FIL, DH should say something first.
?If that doesn't work after numerous attempts (DH saying something), I feel you should defend yourself (or stand up for yourself if he makes comments to you.) ?No one should have to deal with that.
