Made a stupid comment...
So DH and I went out to dinner last night with one of his friends from grad school, and his wife, who is due with their second child in September. DH's friend (his name is Nick) is super excited because their first kid is a girl, and this one is going to be a boy.
I was joking around with him and said, "Hey wouldn't it be funny if you named your son Nick, and then he'd be Nick Jr like the TV channel." Stupid joke, I know, but DH and I are always wisecracking with him.
Then DH asks, "Really, have you guys thought about names yet?"
Nick: "Yup, Nick Jr."
I'm such an a-hole.

Oh my that was funny... don't worry much about it. That was funny and no harm was meant at all on your part. I have done said worse trying to make a joke...
my dh name is brian ~ we are trying for a baby when someone pointed out if we would name a boy brian Jr and we said yes they laughed saying out loud B.J. hahaha blow job. well we just laughed and moved on the conversation. to me that is tons worse.
Dh and I are funny like you and dh and we would have found humor in it.
