Car Seats

Good Morning, My DS is only 7 months old but I am already thinking about convertable car seats.  I know they have ones that only go up to 40 lbs and then ones that also turn into booster that will hold up to 100lbs.  I would really rather just get one that goes up to 100 lbs so I don't have to keep upgrading and spending more money on them.  I also have to get acouple for other cars not just mine and they won't have them when they are 100 lbs so I am trying to figure out what kind of seat to get them.  Roughly what does a 4 year old and 5 year old boy weight?  If anyone has any ideas for me, please let me know.  Thanks so much!

Re: Car Seats

  • That depends - what percentile has your son been in so far?  I would check with the growth chart and follow his percentile (maybe assume 10 higher) and see what he would be at 4 or 5 years old.
