my funny from this weekend

I am going to be laughing about this for a long time.  DH and I got my dad a remote talking thermometer for cooking--you put a probe in the meat and carry the remote with you so you don't have to keep checking the temp.  Well he tried it out for the first time this weekend, cooking a roast on the grill for Passover.  Well we're in the middle of the prayers and all of a sudden you hear beep beep!  "Your food is almost ready!"

I'm sure!  I'm laughing and I wasn't even there!  How did you ever find a talking thermometer!?  And where did you find this thing - DH needs this.

We actually got it on HSN dot com, but only because it was the holidays and Williams Sonoma & Brookstone were sold out.

That is funny!  I guess this was the weekend for unorthodox seders.  Ours involved a race and then a fight for a stereo remote.

My FIL declared that even though we acted like children, we weren't so he wasn't hiding it.  Then he declared that once the baby was born and old enough to find it, then he'd give money.  Which started DH on the injustice of being given old bubble gum for finding the afikomen.

The race was between DH and BIL to find the remote, then they wrestled over it in the foyer.
